The Kirin is an animal in ancient Chinese myths and legends, and is called the "Four Spirits" with the phoenix, turtle, and dragon. According to legend, it only appeared in the Prosperous or when there were saints, so it was used in ancient China to symbolize auspicious. 

Appearance: 
Its head looks like a dragon, shape looks like a deer, tail looks like an oxtail, it has horns on its head, scales on its body, multicolored fur on its back, yellow hair on its abdomen, and its mouth can spit fire.  

Moral: 
Kirin is a symbol of kindness and auspiciousness representing longevity. 
The Kirins are the most auspicious animals that ancient Chinese people aspire to appear. Their appearance indicates the happiness of a generation. Therefore, people at that time hoped that Kirin would always accompany himself, bring luck and light to himself, and eliminate the ominous. 
Meaning peace and auspiciousness, is the mascot of China.

Architectural decorations - Kirin is often carved into buildings as a profound auspicious pattern. Some are decorated with stone Kirins on both sides of the gate, which shows that the gate court is noble, but also avoids evil in the house and brings wealth. 

Since ancient times, people have liked to wear Kirin craft statues as amulets on their bodies, and their materials include gold, silver, copper, and jade. One child wears a "Kirin Lock", which means that the child have a happy and long life.
