Morganite and Emerald belong to the Beryl family like Aquamarine. The name of Morganite originated from the name of a well-known gem hobby collector and banker in the United States-John Pierpont Morgan (John Pierpont Morgan).

The natural color of Morganite is pink. The color of morganite can be changed to yellow, green, blue, orange, etc. through heat treatment and irradiation treatment.
