Sapphire

There are many colors of sapphire. Among them, star sapphire is deep in color and is regarded as high-quality sapphire. The British royal family prefers sapphire as a symbol of nobility. Sapphire belongs to the corundum family, and it is also one of the five most precious gemstones in the world, ranking third after diamonds and rubies. 

Origin 

Sapphires are found in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Laos, Cambodia and China. The rarest source of sapphires should belong to the sapphires in Kashmir, and Myanmar is the place that produces the most high-quality sapphires today. 
 

Uses of Sapphire

As early as in ancient Egypt, ancient Greece and ancient Rome, sapphire was used as a tribute for religious ceremonies to decorate temples and churches, and was highly respected by the royal family and aristocracy. 
Together with diamonds and pearls, it has also become an indispensable accessory on the crown and dress of the British King, the Russian Tsar.
